The aim of Coriandoli, the new series published by Reggio Children, is to disseminate and promote the “micro-publishing” of the municipal infant-toddler centres and preschools of Reggio Emilia, a multitude of books, booklets, and other publications originally prepared for the families and designed and produced directly by teachers, atelieristas, and pedagogistas. The children and their voices, thoughts, and theories are always the protagonists. The two books that inaugurate the series both originated from the project “Città inattesa” (City inwaiting). They describe the encounter between children from infant-toddler centres and the Park in the centre of town, an exploration that generated discoveries, deep listening, thinking and re-thinking.
The first book in the new micro publishing Coriandoli Series documents a research project with the children from the Bellelli Infant-Toddler Center in their encounters in the city park.
